Now you can Book Railway ticket online from any station to any station in India through http://irctc.co.in/. Passengers can book railway tickets 90 days in advance. 

For booking ticket you can log on to http://irctc.co.in/ and follow the below steps.

1. Register with IRCTC by clicking on Signup. If you already registered Login with your User Name and Password.

2. You will Find Plan my travel

3. Enter your Stations From and To Then Enter Date, Ticket Type i-ticket or e-ticket (i-ticket means a ticket which will be delivered to you by courier at your home address. you have to book the ticket at least 2 days before travel. E-ticket will be available till the chart preparation, its better to select e-ticket) Select Quota and Click Find Train.

4. You will get a List of Trains Passing through the stations you have selected. You can select the Class of the Train you would like to travel.Then you will get the Ticket Fare and Availability on each dates.

5. Click on Book then you will be redirected to Ticket Reservation page.

6. Enter Passengers Name, Age, Sex, Birth Preference etc.. (Children below age 5 do not need ticket but their details have to be furnished on the space provided below).

7. Give your Mobile Number to get confirmation SMS to your Mobile then Click Go. You will redirected to next page.

8. Click Make Payment if you are satisfied with the ticket or click replan. Please Check all the details and confirm before clicking make payment.

9. When you Click Make Payment you will taken into Payment page there you will find lot of payment options such as Credit Card, Net Banking, Debit Card, Cash Card, EMI Options. Select any payment method suitable to you. 

9. You will Redirect to the Payment Page enter relevant details and make payment.

10. Confirmation of tickets booked can be viewed in Booked History link in My Transactions page of your account.

11. If you selected an e-ticket you can print the Ticket and travel using that ticket. passenger travelling in this ticket has to carry an identification proof with the Ticket.
