Comman Admission Test (CAT) is required for Admission in Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). CUSAT is an autonomous University in Cochin which is owned by Government of India. CUSAT had 3 campuses altogether. Several colleges are registered under CUSAT. CAT is required for Graduation and Post Graduation courses in CUSAT unless it is stated as other entrnace exam.
How to Register for CAT 2012
Before applying Online you have to Prepare a scanned image of yours with a size of 3.5 cm * 4.5 cm. Candidates name should be printed on the photo. Candidate have to scan their signature which is signed on black ink and file size should be less then 30 KB.
After uploading the images
Visit the website http://cat2012.cusat.ac.in/ for Apply Online
Here you have to input a desired password and other details for creating an account. Username will be generated by the System. and these details will be mailed to you which can be used for login. You wil get a Registration Number also through the mail which is required for login.
Then you have to Re login to yur account using the username which is generated automatically and the password you received in your mail.
Click on START in the Menu and fill all the necessary details and upload the photo and the signature and choose your course and the test which you are applying for.
Then you can choose your payment method and you can make payment through bank challan or through online payment.
If you choose payment through challan you have to print the challan form and make the payment in any bank and re login to the account and give all the challan details or if you are making the payment through online payment click on Card payment and you will be taken to the bank website.
Here you can make payment through Credit or Debit card. After the successful payment you will be taken back to the university website.
Take a Print of the Confirmatin Page and keep it with you for further reference. No need to send to the university.
After 10 days you will get the status of your application form in the website and if it not approved check for the reason and correct it. You can download the Admit Card through the website on the last week of April.

Online Registration if CAT Ends on: 5th February 2012
Download Admt Card Online: 20th April 2012 to 6th May 2012
Examination Date: 5th May 2012, 6th may 2012 and 13th May 2012
