How to Track Passport Application Status

You can Track the Passport Application Status through Online once you had applied for Passport. Once all the Procedures for Applying for a Passport is completed a Receipt will be issued by the Passport Seva, there will be File number which is to be used to track the Passport Application Status. 

How to Track the Application Status

You can Track your Application Status of your Passport by visiting the Website http://passportindia.gov.in/statusTracker

Here you have to select the Application Status option and enter your File number (which will be there in the Receipt) and your Date of Birth and click on Track. You will be displayed a page like below. 

You can find that the current Status of the Application as Pending for Police Verification. 

You can Track the Application Status of Passport which is Applied any where in India and can be tracked from Anywhere.

Once the Passport is issued and mailed a SMS will be send to the Mobile Number which is given at the time of applying for the Passport. Passport will be delivered through Speed Post.
