How to Apply for a New PAN Card:

In order to apply for a new PAN card you can visit the website https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/pan/ and click on New PAN for Indian Citizens.   

Read the Instructions before filling the application form. After filling the application form (Form 49A) applicant have to verify the details and submit the form. if there is any error applicant can edit it. After editing click on confirm.

An acknowledgement will be displayed with 15 digit acknowledgement number. Simply take a print out the acknowledgement page. 

Affix 2 passport size color photo with white background in the acknowledgement form. Size of the photo should be 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm

A signature should be made on the left side of the form in a manner where the half portion of the signature should be in the photo and half portion should be on the acknowledgement form.

Another signature should be in the box provided. It should not be outside the box provided.

Fees for applying PAN card is Rs 96 and the payment can be made either by Demand Draft or Debit or Credit Card or by Cheque or Net Banking.

Fees for Foreign Citizens is Rs 962 and payment should be made by Demand Draft only. 

Once the payment is made the applicant have to send the signed acknowledgement form and the demand draft (if payment is made by DD) and proof of name and proof of identity send to the following address. 

Send the acknowledgement and other documents within 15 days after applying online.
