Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) Ltd is planning to install 1000 MW Solar PV plants by the next 3 years. From this 500 MW will be from Roof top Solar Projects. 

KSEB Ltd is installing Solar plants on the roof top of consumers building in KSEBL expense / Consumer expense based on certain conditions. For details please call 0471-2555544

500 MW Roof top Solar project is proposed Sectors

• Domestic / Agriculture sector : 150 MW
• Government buildings : 100 MW
• Buildings other than Domestic / Government : 250 MW

Timeline for Implementation of Project

• Registration & initial survey of roof top : June 2018 to August 2018
• Feasibility study & preparation of Detailed Project Report : September 2018 to December 2018
• Installation of Solar PV plants : January 2019 to March 2021

KSEB Ltd will bear the expenditure for installing Solar plants on the roof top of consumers building and 10% of the total electricity generated to be given to the owner the premises for free of cost or Total electricity generated to be given to the owner of the premises for a fixed period (25 years) at a fixed rate

KSEB Ltd will install Solar plants on the roof top at the expense of Consumer and electricity generated will be partially or completely to be purchased by KSEBL or electricity generated can be used by the owner himself.
