As per the RBI guidelines w.e.f. 1st October 2022, all the card details which are stored by merchants will be deleted and merchants will not be allowed to store card details. Customer who like to do online transactions can be done using Tokenisation. Card-on-File Tokenization / CoF Card Tokenization
Card holders have to tokenize their Debit Card(s) and / or Credit Card(s) details at their preferred website / apps.
How to Tokenize Debit / Credit Cards?
Visit merchant website or app
During checkout enter card details
Click on the check box to secure your card
Complete the transaction with OTP to tokenize your card
How to tokenize your existing saved cards on merchant platform?
Visit merchant website or app
During checkout, click on secure your card as per RBI guidelines
Complete a refundable transaction of Rs.2 with OTP to tokenize your card
